Every card room, where a poker game is being played takes a scaled commission fee (for each poker hand) called the rake. Rakeback is nothing but the repayment of the portion of the rake by a third-party, usually an affiliate. A poker player just need to sign-up to a rakeback deal of an affiliate program to obtain a rakeback on every hand he or she plays. Although, the rakeback is just a portion of the rake, over a period of time it accrues to be quite a saving for a regular poker player.
The percentage of return offered as rakeback varies with affiliate programs and their rakeback deals. It may be anywhere from 10% to 33% or more depending on the affiliate program you are signed up to and the terms and conditions of the affiliate program. Besides, many programs have additional offers and bonuses of good worth too. A poker player needs to make a thorough assessment of the offers without signing up for a rakeback deal with an affiliate program. There are several websites that promote the best of the Rakeback Deals found online (some of the poker websites too promote a particular affiliate program!).
